City of Paterson Master Plan

City of Paterson Master Plan 2014

As New Jersey’s third largest City, the City of Paterson encompasses 140,000 residents, and 250 miles of roadways over 8.7 square miles. The City’s 2013 Master Plan represents an important planning document that guides future development and infrastructure improvements for the next 6 – 10 years. Grant Engineering worked with the City’s personnel and Master Planning Consultant, Heyer, Gruel and Associates, to update the Transportation and Utilities elements of the City’s 2014 Master Plan. We combined feedback from the various stakeholders (residents, City engineer, City Public Works, and City Police) with our expertise in Transportation and Utility infrastructure design and planning to prevent a comprehensive Planning document. This document identified key issues, and provided recommendations for addressing those issues. Our recommendations incorporated our experience in funding, engineering, and constructing similar projects into a realistic plan for the City.
