Retaining Wall Structural Assessment and Replacement

The East Orange Board of Education (EBE) replaced two (2) structurally deficient retaining walls at the East Orange Campus High School. Grant Engineering provided the structural assessment and repair recommendation. We prepared a construction estimate based on two (2) wall replacement options, (i) reinforced CMU, and (ii) segmental retaining wall. We recommended a design-build project delivery method to expedite the project schedule so that the wall replacement could be completed before the start of the upcoming school year.
