Sanitary Sewer Inflow and Infiltration Assessment & Planning

The Borough of Interlaken wanted a comprehensive assessment of its sanitary sewers in order to reduce Inflow & Infiltration (I&I). The objectives of the I&I study were to identify significant sources of I&I, to provide remediation recommendations, and to develop an I&I reduction plan. Grant Engineering reviewed the condition of the sewers, identified illicit connections from basement sumps, and developed a 20 year Inflow and Infiltration Reduction Program (IIRP) with estimated costs for spot repairs, sewer lining, and replacement of sanitary sewers in order to reduce I&I.
